Flights & getting there
Rimini's Federico Fellini International Airport, 8km south of the city centre, offers direct flights to Scandinavia with Finnair, to Russia with Rossiya and Ural Airlines, and to various other European cities, including with seasonal charter flights.
Benedettini and Bonelli Bus operate 12 buses daily from a bus stop outside Rimini's train station to San Marino (6.55am to 8.40pm, €5, 50 minutes) in summer (service drops slightly in winter). From the same stop, Shuttle Rimini Bologna runs shuttles direct to Bologna's airport eight times per day (3.30am to 10.15pm, from €20, 1¾ hours). Bonelli buses to Rome also leave from here daily at 3.10pm (€29, 5½ hours) in summer; 6.50am and 2.50pm Friday and Sunday, respectively, in winter.
By car, you have a choice of the A14 (south into Le Marche or northwest towards Bologna and Milan) or the toll-free but very busy SS16.
Hourly trains run from Stazione di Rimini down the coast to the ferry ports of Ancona (from €8, one to 1¼ hours) and Bari (Intercity/Frecciabianca €27/40, 4¾ to six hours). Up the line, they serve Ravenna (from €4.75, one hour, hourly) and Bologna (from €10, one to 1½ hours, half-hourly).
