Pescara in detail

Sights

Pescara's main attraction is long, tourist-focused beachfront, and the shopping precinct around pedestrianised Corso Umberto. From Piazzale della Repubblica, the beach is a short walk down Corso Umberto. The only vaguely old streets in Pescara are on the south side of the Aterno-Pescara River, occupying the site of the former Roman town of Aternum. Here you'll find a couple of diverting museums.
