Eating

Eating in this deeply rural province is a real highlight. The rolling vineyards are dotted with farmhouses, where you’ll sample the best local specialities and homemade cooking. Regional products include the protected Varzi salami, braised meats including wild boar and a host of locally produced cheeses. This is also Lombardy’s largest wine producing region, known for its pinot nero, fruity chardonnay and muscat.
