3-day tour discovering two of the most charming destinations of the South Italy by train, Alberobello and Matera.
Day 1: Take the train from Rome to Bari (departing at 8:05am and arriving at 12:08am, schedule subject to possible change). Check in at 3-star hotel in the city center of Bari. Spend the day at your leisure to explore the city of Bari and its medieval city center. Overnight in Bari.Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. Start your journey with a private pick-up at your hotel, with your local English speaking driver. The first stop is Alberobello, home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During a 2-hour walking tour, you'll admire the typical trulli, traditional Apulian dry stone huts with conical roofs that made Alberobello famous. After free-time for lunch, you'll move to Matera, one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. Matera, also known as the city of Sassi, is located in a typical canyon used over centuries as cave-houses and rocky churches . At the end of this 8-hour tour, transfer back to your hotel in Bari.Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel.
