Castle

Cosenza

Cosenza's doughty castle, begun by the Saracens, augmented by the Normans and left in disarray by several earthquakes, has benefited from extensive restorations in the 21st century. Not too much of the interior remains, but the shell is impressive, and the views justify the ascent.
