Flights & getting there
Tiemme (www.tiemmespa.it) runs frequent buses to/from Montepulciano's bus station from Monday to Saturday (€3.50, 45 minutes). These stop at both the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme railway station and on Via della Pietriccia in the historic centre, close to the Museo Archeologico Etrusco di Chiusi.
Chiusi-Chianciano Terme railway station is in Chiusi Scalo, 3km southeast of Chiusi's historic centre. There are 12 daily regionale services to/from Siena (€8.60, 90 minutes) and Rome (€9.95, 1¾ hours). Six additional intercity services connect the station with Orvieto (€9, 20 minutes) and Rome (€21, 1¼ hours). A new fast train line between Rome and Florence stopping at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme station was due to be inaugurated in late 2019. A bus ticket between the railway station and the historic centre costs €1.20.
