This is a unique experience only for the early riser. The tour starts at 7:45, to secure a good spot right next to the Pope (invitations are free but they need to be collected by your guide, the day before). He will only appear around 9.00-9.30 AM and the audience will be held either in the St.Peter's Square or when it's raining heavily, or very cold, the Papal audience is held inside at the Hall of Pope Paul VI. The tour itself will only start after the papal audience has finished, around 10:30 AM, when you will go directly to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, allowing you to experience these glorious spaces without the stress of enormous crowds.
