Tour description

Experience Milano in a special way: a 4-hrs small-group cooking class with lunch in the private home of an enthusiastic chef and sommelier in the morning, followed by Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” with a skip-the-line entrance ticket in the afternoon. Numbers are limited to six people for this class, to ensure a more personalized experience.

Your Milan cooking class takes place in your cooking instructor's private home, near the city center. An enthusiastic Italian foodie and experienced cooking teacher and sommelier, Chef Clara invites you to discover the secrets of classic Italian home cooking while learning about the culture and traditions of the Italian way of life.Start by discussing the daily menu with your fellow food lovers from all over the world. You’ll make four traditional Italian dishes during the class. Your specific menu depends on the day and season, and will focus on the cuisine of northern, southern or central Italy. All ingredients are organic and supplied fresh from the local market. First prepare the first course, which may be homemade pasta, risotto, gnocchi or minestrone. For the second course, make a hearty meat or vegetable dish like ossobuco, frittata or saltimbocca. Top off your classic Italian meal with a dessert such as tiramisu, panna cotta, gelato, fruit cake or chocolate cake. Once everything is cooked, sit around the table in typical Italian fashion and enjoy your creations paired expertly with two glasses of meticolously chosen Italian wine. Finish with a homemade limoncello. You’ll be given a recipe booklet so you can recreate this meal at home for your family and friends. You’ll also be granted an Italian cooking diploma for your hard work! After the cooking class you will reach the Dominican convent next to “Santa Maria delle Grazie” church by foot, public transportation or taxi: the site is very close to the cooking school, it's a pleasant 15 minutes walk, however you can take the tram/taxi (transport not included) if you prefer.Large numbers of travelers flock to Milan to catch a glimpse of Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece each year, and you'll sidestep the long lines with your direct access ticket, traveling straight inside the church's monastery. To preserve the ancient fresco's integrity, only small groups of 25 people for 15 minutes at a time are allowed to enter into the ancient dining hall of the convent where the painting is: reservation is required, exact entrance timing will be provided after booking. After spending time with one of the most famous paintings in the world, your tour will conclude outside of the convent, in piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie.
