The Marmore Falls, with its 165 m course divided into three falls, is the highest in Europe. It is located in Valnerina, near the town of Terni, in the part comprising of the Nera River Park (also called the Water Park). Incredibly rich from a cultural, historical, and environmental point of view, the Park is a protected area that considers this waterfall its greatest attraction.
PrintWe go to discover the cervina tongue, the Maiden Hair and of the peculiar species of the habitat in the Marmore Falls. The botanical guides take the visitors along the trails n.2 and n.3 of the Park (Lower Outlook), learning information about flora. For benefit of the visit don't need specific competences; anybody can love (also the children) using simple but exhaustive explanations. Before going out from the trails the guides present the "Environmental Education Center" managed with the University of Perugia. Here they provide the basic knowledges for the opportunities offered by the structures, as microscope, herbarium, tests, audio/video materials and more.After the guided tour, you will have a tasting, at the bar inside the hiking area (glass of wine, cold cuts, Valnerina cheese)
