Dialogo nel Buio (Italian for Dialogue in the Dark) in Genoa, is a sensorial exhibition where visitors make a "journey" in total absence of light, transforming familiar places and gestures into an extraordinary experience.
Dialogo nel Buio is a sensorial exhibition where you will embark on a journey in total absence of light. Small groups are accompanied by blind guides through environments in the darkness that, in complete safety, reproduce real situations of daily life. During this experience you will learn "another way of seeing": you will not use your eyes but the senses of touch, hearing, smell and taste. A path out of the ordinary where there is nothing to see, but a lot to learn and to understand. Non-visual ideas and perceptions that belong to the culture of the blind become the starting point for discovering the invisible around us. Dialogue in the Dark is not a simulation of blindness, but the invitation to experience how the perception of reality and communication can be much deeper and more intense in the absence of light. Dialogue in the Dark is an invitation to discover this new multisensory dimension that becomes an inner dialogue and exchange of different experiences on the perception of the world. Dialogue in the Dark is aimed at anyone interested in rediscovering the value of their senses, when darkness becomes a precious moment of growth. The activity has different starting times during the day, and will last 45 minutes. Only 7 people are allowed entry every half an hour. You can book your chosen time, and we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the starting time. Minimum age to take part in this activity is 5 years old.
