Mediterranean in Akko

After stints in Michelin-starred restaurants, chef Alaa Musa returned to his home town Akko to open El Marsa, whose inventive, Galilee-sourced menu hits the spot. Ceviche, grilled barramundi and salads of local herbs are standouts, and there's a good wine list to go with it. The harbourside restaurant feels crisp and modern despite being set in a 13th-century building.

El Marsa has a separate children's menu of schnitzels and pasta (42NIS to 52NIS).
