Horse Riding in Mitzpe Ramon

It's crazy enough to be genius: in 1988, 170 alpacas were flown from Peru, in a plane with the seats removed, to Mitzpe Ramon, whose climate is similar to the Andes, for the purpose of producing wool (just a few months later, Chile, Peru and Bolivia banned the export of alpacas). Wool production didn't turn out to be very profitable, but today you can pet and feed the alpacas and tour of the old wool-production facilities.

Also offers horse riding, for beginners and experienced riders, across the makhtesh floor and along its rim. Double saddles are available for parents with kids up to age six. Children under 25kg can take lama rides at the farm (20NIS).
