The floodlit 18th-century building overlooking the waterfront is the Granville, one of Ireland's oldest hotels. Brocaded bedrooms maintain a touch of Georgian elegance, as do the public areas with their showstopping stained glass, historic prints and antiques. Star turns at breakfast are the organic porridge with Baileys and a perfect eggs Benedict.
Rooms at the Hotel Granville include bathrooms with baths, showers and heated towel rails. They also have safety deposit boxes and there is a 24-hour room service menu.
The Bianconi Restaurant overlooks the quayside and serves traditional Irish and international cuisine. Thomas Francis Meagher Bar has a daily lunchtime carvery and a bar menu.
Waterford’s shopping district and the Garter Lane Theatre are both within a 5-minute of the Granville. Waterford Golf Club is less than one mile from the hotel.
The Granville Hotel has been awarded Hotel of The Year 2013 by Georgina Campbell.
