Getting Around

  • Limerick city is compact enough to get around on foot or by bike. To walk across town from St Mary's Cathedral to the train station takes about 15 minutes.
  • Taxis can be found at Arthurs Quay, at the bus and train stations, and in Thomas St, or try Swift Taxis.
  • Limerick's Coca-Cola Zero bike share scheme (www.bikeshare.ie/limerick.html), with 23 stations around town is, for visitors, €3 (€150 deposit) for three days. The first 30 minutes of each hire is free.
  • Bikes can be hired at Emerald Alpine. The company will also retrieve a bike from, or deliver one to, anywhere in Ireland for €25.
