Limerick city is compact enough to get around on foot or by bike. To walk across town from St Mary's Cathedral to the train station takes about 15 minutes.
Taxis can be found at Arthurs Quay, at the bus and train stations, and in Thomas St, or try Swift Taxis.
Limerick's Coca-Cola Zero bike share scheme (www.bikeshare.ie/limerick.html), with 23 stations around town is, for visitors, €3 (€150 deposit) for three days. The first 30 minutes of each hire is free.
Bikes can be hired at Emerald Alpine. The company will also retrieve a bike from, or deliver one to, anywhere in Ireland for €25.
