I am currently 20 years old from the United States. I am going to be studying abroad in Ireland next spring, however, I am not sure where I want to go. I am having trouble deciding between Galway and Cork (I also have the option of Dublin and Limerick). I was wondering which would be the better option? I just want to experience the culture as well as what amazing sights the country has to offer!

Hi, I'll be landing in Dublin at 9:50a.m. on Sunday (from the U.S.) and not flying out until 3:40pm. That seems like plenty of time to clear customs, then take the bus to the Temple Bar District for a nice lunch and a drink and then a bus back to the airport. Do people agree this is realistic? Any tips? A place for left luggage? At what time should we head to the airport to catch the 3:40p.m. flight? Thanks!

Hi,

I will be in Dublin at the end of June. I understand that I can walk one mile from cruise terminal to catch a luas stop at The Point. However, some people said that the area is unsafe and we should not walk in that area at all. We are elderly couple but still in good health.

I would like to ask for your advice as to how to get to Dublin from cruise terminal ?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

I am coming to Ireland at the end of this month for 4 full days with three friends. We are in final planning stages and have a rough itinerary and would like to get suggestions/feedback from the TA community before we finalize our bookings.

There is so much to see in Ireland but I know we cant obviously cover everything. If our plans look too lofty, please let us know

Day 1 - We arrive in Shannon airport late in the night. We are renting our car, booking a hotel close to the airport…

Our whole family loves music, and both kids dance (albeit not Irish style--yet!). But minors can't be in pubs after 9, I hear, and so I'm looking for options where we can have a nibble and listen to some live traditional music. Dance would be a plus, but we're not looking for a tourist show (though we're open to it if y'all have recommendations). Travel dates late June early July. (I note Ballinamore is hosting Connacht Fleadh 2018 from July 2nd - 8th July, which overlaps with the end of our…

We just booked tickets for late June into early July, flying into Dublin. We have 13 non-flying days (plus one landed-and-very-jetlagged day in Dublin). A friend is on sabbatical in Dublin so we have houseroom there (YAY!).
I've heard that you should draw a line on a map from Dublin to Galway and pick 1/2 of the island to see, which would put us mostly in the northern half (UNESCO world heritage sites are a bucket list item so Giant's Causeway is a must). But southwest Ireland looks amazing…

Mother/ daughter (mid 20s) self-drive trip to Ireland in August, arriving Shannon and departing Dublin 8 nights later. We are not Irish, but very interested in Irish culture, exploring the beauty of Ireland and of course eating and drinking! Both of us are fairly experienced travelers and very independent, but haven't driven on the left before...Budget somewhat flexible, prefer hotels under $250-300/night.
Possible itineraries:
Shannon to Ennis (or Doolin?) 1 night - nap then see Cliffs of…
