Bus
Most long-haul buses deposit passengers at the AKAP terminal 10km south of town, which annoyingly has no public-transport options to the city. If you’re coming from Banjarmasin, have the bus drop you at the Bangkirai four-way intersection 1.5km east of the terminal, and wait for an angkot heading north. Otherwise, an ojek will cost 50,000Rp. Coming from Pangkalan Bun, you can ask to be dropped in the city.
Yessoe Travel has buses to Pangkalan Bun (125,000Rp to 175,000Rp, 10 hours) at 8am and 3.30pm and Banjarmasin (90,000Rp, six hours) at 2am.
Logos has its own depot on Jl RTA Milono, with luxury buses to Pangkalan Bun (via Sampit, 150,000Rp to 175,000Rp) at 4pm, and Banjarmasin (85,000Rp to 100,000Rp) at 3am.
