My fiancé and I are planning our honeymoon from early March until mid-March 2019 (14 days)
We would like to spend the first week in a nice hotel on a lovely beach! We would like to go to either Indonesia or Philippines,(which is better, to visit Indonesia or Philippines and why?) knowing that we’re planning to spend the 2nd (last) week in Tokyo-Japan.
Does this seem like a sensible itinerary?
And what beach resorts are best for that time of year? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Next week we (family of four - two boys age 14 and 18 + parents) are going to Sumatra for 5 weeks. We will be landing in Medan, then travel to Bukit Lawang, west coast, Banyaks down to Padang and back home from there.
Apart from exploring and backpacking the boys want to do some surfing. They have done som surfing in Denmark and Marocco - their level a little bit better than 'beginner' I guess. We know that you kan surf on the islands of the west coast, but we think it is too…
Mr partner and i (both UK citizens)are flying in to Yogyakarta mid September and going around Indonesia (mainly Bali) for roughly 7 weeks. We are going to buy the 30 day Visa on arrival and then extend another 30 days. How easily is this done? Also, where is the immigration office in Bali?
I'm having a really hard time finding a nanny in South Tangerang area. Does anyone have any leads or an agency that may be able to help? We arrive in Jakarta in less than a month with 0 interviews lined up. eeeeeeekk!
Peoplz – I’ve recently been to Bali in 2 stays of nearly 7 weeks. I’ve illustrated my experiences in a short YouTube Video which I’d like to share with you:
Bali isn’t a backpacker secret for a long time anymore and every year more and more tourists are visiting this beautiful island. There is so much to see and to discover on relatively small room which makes it an attractive target for younger or older people, families, couples or singles and also…
I am arriving at Jakarta airport on an Emirates flight (which I think lands at Terminal 3?) and then have to connect to a Lion Air flight from Terminal 1a, three hours after landing. I was wondering how to get from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1a as quickly as possible, as I only have 3 hours to clear customs then make my domestic flight. I have heard there is a free SkyTrain, does anyone know if this is easy to find and if it runs regularly?
I'm an American passport holder and currently spending about 56 days in Indonesia and I have a Visa on Arrival (VOA) that I'm extending so that I'm permitted to stay for the 60 day limit. My question is about leaving the country and re-entering on a free visa after obtaining the VOA extension.
I ideally want to visit family in another part of Asia after I already receive my VOA extension (at about the 45 day mark in Indonesia), which would mean that I leave (and void) the original VOA…
I am flying to Jakarta early July for work and have decided to stay on for three days to see the sights before I fly home.
I will be there wednesday night to Saturday (i need to be at the airport for around 10pm).
I've been told that Java is a good Island to go to and also Sumatra? I'm just wondering what is possible in my timeframe, how i would get to Java and any suggestions on what I can do for the three days.
I'm 27 and would like to stay in a hostel but not one that only caters for…
