I am flying to Jakarta early July for work and have decided to stay on for three days to see the sights before I fly home.
I will be there wednesday night to Saturday (i need to be at the airport for around 10pm).
I've been told that Java is a good Island to go to and also Sumatra? I'm just wondering what is possible in my timeframe, how i would get to Java and any suggestions on what I can do for the three days.
I'm 27 and would like to stay in a hostel but not one that only caters for…
We are planning to go to Nusa Penida from Padangbai with a motorbike, we have seen a lot of information but nothing sure. What would be the best option to go there? Carferry? Prices?
Thank you very much
Not quite clear what has happened, this is on the very small car ferry between Tiga Ras & Simanindo, not the usual passenger ferry used by those on the usual route to Tuktuk. Presumably full to capacity due to Eid.
Some passengers have died and some survived.
Apologies if this question has already been asked but I couldn't find an answer after searching and I want to be certain.
I intend to get a visa on arrival in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. My return flight is 44 days later - I am aware the VOA is only valid for 30 days, and so I intend to extend my VOA for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office.
My query is, will I be granted the initial VOA in Yogyakarta even though my return flight is 44 days later - i.e. outside of the 30 day…
I am due to arrive in Surabaya on 20/06/18 and leave on 30/08/18. I currently have not got any visa for Indonesia beforehand.
I am therefore wondering if this is is a problem that I have no visa? I was planning to get a visa on arrival, then either get a social or multiple entry visa from Singapore. Is this okay?
Should I have got a visa beforehand and will I be denied entry?
I am planning trips out of Indonesia to Singapore and the Philippines. Is the fact I currently have no visa okay?
I shall try and keep this brief. Any opinions/ recommendations would be very much appreciated.
We are a couple (25 & 35). We are not divers. We love to snorkel, so the better the house reef the happier we will be. We love wildlife, so turtles, dolphins, shark and lots of fish we'd like to see.
It'd be nice to be in an English speaking homestay, but not essential. We'd also like a homestay that I suppose you'd call popular as it'd be nice to meet others. We definitely want to go on lots of…
my boyfriend and I are planning to travel to Indonesia (we are currently on a big SE Asia trip) and would like to spend longer time in Indonesia, hence looking into getting a 60-day visa. (We have UK and Italian passports).
I have done some research on various blogs and especially in this forum, which I have found really helpful, but I am still struggling to get some up-to-date, straightforward information regarding this visa, the procedure to obtain it, where to apply for it and…
I'll be planning a visit soon to Indonesia next year for sightseeing/tourism purposes.I would like to know the best airline up/down for Indonesia and decent hotels for single person.
Kindly suggest the best places to visit there along, with the details/fares of transport via bus/taxi within provinces/cities and local areas.
Also list of localities where Indian residents reside and Indian restaurants.
Hello. We´re a couple, 32 and 36 years old. We're going to backpack around Bali, Lombok and Java. We'll land in Bali and than after 6 weeks we fly back home by Jakarta (July and August). We're budget travellers and we like cultural stuff and sightseeing (although we are independent travellers so when possible we try to avoid tours and overcrowded sites), we love nature... hiking, snorkelling, rain forest, wild life, volcanos, beach (but sunbathing aren't our cup of tea). I know that one persons…
