Legendary landmarks, secluded villages, every colour you can imagine (and then some) – Rajasthan is a place best viewed up-close. A great opportunity for active travellers to mix some exercise with their exploring, this 15-day journey across northwestern India will work out your shutter-finger as much as your calves. After soaking up the sights in bustling Delhi, you’ll bike to remote communities near scenic Jhadol, visit the famed "Pink City" of Jaipur, spot tigers in Ranthambore and, of course, get some face time with the Taj Mahal. Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi Arrive in Delhi at any time. There are no planned activities, so check into to the hotel and enjoy the city. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting
Day 2 Delhi/Udaipur (1B) In the morning, get on a bike and cycle out southwest of Delhi to the village of Mehrauli. The journey here is the ideal way for us to begin our cycling adventure. In the afternoon, catch a flight across Rajasthan to the lakeside city of Udaipur. Upon arrival, enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore the city. There are plenty of options for free time. Journey out to the hilltop Monsoon Palace, a summer resort of the Maharajas, or join in at a cooking demonstration. Included Activities: Mehrauli Cycling Transport: Plane (1.50 hour(s))
Day 3 Udaipur (1B) Spend the day cycling along the scenic route to Jhadol. Included Activities: Jhadol Cycling Excursion
Day 4 Udaipur/Jodhpur (1B) Drive to Jodpur. It's quite a long journey from Udaipur, but, upon arrival, the rest of the day is free to see what Jodpur has to offer. Take a short climb to the top of a 125m (410 ft) high hill on the outskirts of the city and arrive at the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. Experience the famed gentle nature of the Jodhpur people firsthand as we wander in and around the Old City with its Clock Tower and Sadar Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in India. Day 5 Jodhpur/Chandelao (1B, 1D) In the morning cycle into the countryside, visiting tribal hamlets of Bishnois and Prajapats. Later, head into our first rural stay of Chandelao Garh. Stroll in the village and its markets to get some local interaction. Included Activities: Cycling
Day 6 Chandelao/Jaipur (1B) After breakfast, drive to the capital of the state of Rajasthan - Jaipur. Jaipur is the most colourful of the cities we visit. Known as the "Pink City" after the rusty colour that the walled city bears, Jaipur is a traveller's destination. With beautiful palaces, forts, gardens, temples, and unending market streets, it has a bit of everything that colourful Rajasthan has to offer. In the afternoon, relax, walk, or cycle around the city. Opt to stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the City Palace Museum, or Jantar Mantar Observatory in the walled city. Day 7 Jaipur (1B) In the morning, cycle out to the 15th century Amber Fort and Palace, which was once the capital of the region. Follow the main road, where we will come across all manner of traffic -- everything from cows to fully laden lorries may cross our path; best to be careful! Day 8 Jaipur/Sāwarda (1B, 1D) Enjoy a second visit to the rural countryside of Rajasthan. It's a long day's ride, so make sure you have packed a lot of water. Ride out of Jaipur to the village of Sawarda. Included Activities: Cycling
Day 9 Sāwarda/Tordi (1B, 1D) We continue on through the desert cycling between villages along our cycling journey. Heading northwards, ride to Tordi Garh, a small, remote village and stay in a 150-year-old residence of former nobles. The present family runs it as a heritage home. After cycling here, walk around this small area, populated by just 2,000 people. In the evening, go to the dunes and watch the sun set over the wilderness. Day 10 Tordi/Ranthambore National Park (1B, 1D) Travel on to Ranthambore National Park, one of the original Project Tiger Reserves. Travel through the park with its lakes, scrubland, and ruined palaces, as well as abundant wildlife including deer, birds, and monkeys. If we are lucky, we may even see one of the resident tigers. Day 11 Ranthambore National Park (1B, 1D) Enjoy a wildlife safari drive and visit Ranthambore Fort by jeep. Included Activities: Ranthambore Safari Ranthambore Fort walk and Ganesh Temple
Day 12 Ranthambore National Park/Karauli (1B, 1D) Head back on the bike and cycle from Ranthambore to the city of Karauli. Upon arrival, will see the red stone ramparts surrounding the walled city, with bastions for security. Included Activities: Cycling
Day 13 Karauli/Āgra (1B) Transfer to Agra and visit the world famous Agra Fort. Included Activities: Agra Fort Visit Transport: Private Vehicle (5.00-6.00 hours, 150km)
Day 14 Āgra/Delhi (1B) Watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal. Transfer to Delhi. Included Activities: Taj Mahal Visit Transport: Private Vehicle (3.00-4.00 hours)
