On the way, you have opportunity to admire the fascinating view of Himalaya peaks that includes Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m), Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mt. Shishapangama (8,020m) (from left to right in your view at the pass).Enjoy wonderful sunset at EBC. Most of the visitors admit that the sunset over the Everest is more fascinating than the sunrise, but since one can only go to EBC once per ticket, the group can choose to view either sunset or sunrise. It takes around 2 hours to hike to E.B.C from the guesthouse (4km). Or you can opt to drive in minibus.Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in Tibet, is abode to both monks and nuns.
