A very slow SNT bus runs to Siliguri (₹180, around eight hours) via Jorethang and Melli starting at 7am from a layby outside Saredena Hotel; its reception booth sells tickets.
Shared jeeps from Pelling depart at 7am to Gangtok (₹300, six hours) and Siliguri (₹350, six hours); book ahead through Father Tours. Almost all other transport starts from Geyzing's packed jeep stand, which is West Sikkim’s de facto transport hub.
Services to Yuksom, Utterey, Khecheopalri and Dentam all pass through Upper Pelling mid-afternoon on their way back from Geyzing. Most will be full but you could ask your hotelier to phone the driver and request a space be saved. Many tourists simply book a private vehicle through one of the numerous Pelling agencies.
Geyzing, about 9km by road east of Pelling, is West Sikkim's transport hub. Shared-jeep departures include the following:
Gangtok ₹300, seven to nine hours, 7am, 8am, 9am, noon, 12.30pm and 1pm
Jorethang ₹100, two hours, departs when full or change in Legship
Legship ₹50, 45 minutes, frequent departures as full
Namchi ₹180, three hours, 8am, 12.15pm
Ravangla ₹180, one hour, 1.30pm
Siliguri ₹300, 4½ to six hours, 6.45am and 1pm
Singtam ₹220, five hours, 9am, 11am, 1pm
Shared jeeps from Dentam (₹100, 1¼ hours), Darap (₹60, 50 minutes), Khecheopalri (₹100, 1½ hours), Tashiding (₹130, 1½ hours), Utterey (₹120, two hours) and Yuksom (₹130, 2½ hours) all head to Geyzing in the morning then return early afternoon once the passengers (mostly regulars) are ready to come back.

Enjoy splendid views while filling the petrol tank at Pelling Fuel Centre. It's at the junction where the descending main Pelling road doglegs left while a side lane leads right towards the Chumbi Mountain Retreat.
