In a city like Mumbai where a diaspora of cultures, cuisines and communities are co-existing under one sky, wanting to try something different in food can be exciting but at the same time overwhelming. How about dining with a local, to understand the social fabric of the place and at the same time getting to savour authentic home cooked food over great conversations!Home-chef Prabha is a warm and gregarious woman who will make you feel at home as soon as you take a step into her lovely home. She will teach you some tricks of the kitchen trade as you cook along with her. In the fast-paced life of Mumbai, she is there to patiently guide you as you make your way through her kitchen, she will enlighten you with stories about her culture and cuisine while you enjoy a scrumptious meal with her.The whole experience will last about 3-4 hours.
Your food adventure with Prabha begins with a warm smile as she greets you at her beautiful home in Santacruz West, Mumbai with a refreshing drink. Feel at home with Prabha and her family. After that, it is time to head into her kitchen and roll up your sleeves as you learn to cook Prabha’s signature Mangalorean dishes and relish authentic Mangalorean flavours post that in a meal prepared by her (and you)!Within her social circle, Prabha is known for her cooking expertise and extensive knowledge about the Goud Saraswat Brahmin culture and cuisine - enough to satiate anyone’s curiosity.
