You might feel auspicious vibes as you enter this small hotel with its wraparound Ladakhi-carved balcony, facing a small yard and trained with creeper. But although the big, newer rooms have super-king beds and a boutique design, they're now starting to look a little worn and some bathrooms smell a bit musty.
Square-headed rainforest showers look great but hot-water timings are limited (from 4am to 9am and 6pm to 8pm). Older rooms have log ceilings in traditional style. A decent central-yet-quiet choice if heavily discounted, but at rack rates the place feels overpriced.
