This ragingly popular festival of Indian classical music runs from dusk to dawn for three straight nights and features some of the biggest doyens in the national music circuit. Tickets are sold out weeks in advance, so book online if you can, preferably well ahead of your arrival in the city.
The venue for the music festival is the concert arena of Nazrul Manch, situated to the far east of the Rabindra Sarovar lakes. Refreshments and snacks are available at food stalls near the entrance. Bring a light fleece or jumper because it can get cold at night. Unlicensed recording of any performance (on cameras, audio recorders or mobile phones) is strictly prohibited.
