Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi There are no planned activities until an evening welcome meeting. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting
Day 2 Delhi/Bandhavgarh National Park In the morning, enjoy a city tour led by local streetkids from a G Adventures-supported project. Later, visit Delhi’s famous Jama Masjid (Great Mosque) and climb the minaret for a bird’s eye view of the Old City. Walk through Chandni Chowk, one of India’s oldest and busiest markets, and learn the history of the Sikh religion at the important Gurdwara (Sikh place of worship), Gurdwara SisGanj. Stop for photos at a colourful spice market before finishing at the Victorian Connaught Place, one of the most prominent architectural remnants of British rule. In the mid-afternoon, board an overnight train to Bandhavgarh National Park. Day 3 Bandhavgarh National Park (1B) Arrive at Katni Station in the morning and drive to Bandhavgarh National Park. Enter the realm of one of India’s most enduring symbols, the tiger. Spend two days in and around Bandhavgarh, with opportunities to enter the park by 4x4. Enjoy a safari in the afternoon. Day 4 Bandhavgarh National Park (1B) Keep exploring the National Park on another safari in the morning, with free time in the afternoon. Opt to go out on another safari or explore the town. Included Activities: Bandhavgarh National Park Safari
Day 5 Bandhavgarh National Park/Ranthambore National Park Enjoy more time to explore before boarding an overnight train to Ranthambore National Park. Transport: Basic overnight train (beds) (12.00 hour(s))
Day 6 Ranthambore National Park (1B) Travel through Ranthambore National Park, one of the original Project Tiger Reserves. Explore lakes, scrublands and ruined palaces, as well as abundant wildlife including deer, birds, and monkeys. If we are lucky, we may even see one of the resident tigers. Day 7 Ranthambore National Park (1B) Explore more of the park on another safari. Opt to visit the Ranthambore Fort and Ganesh Temple. Included Activities: Ranthambore National Park Safari
Day 8 Ranthambore National Park/Tordi (1L, 1D) Drive into the heart of Rajasthan -- Tordi Sagar, a small village with rich natural surroundings and culture. The scenic village boasts a a ruined fortress atop a hill and simple but elegant temples. Stay in a 150-year-old residence of former nobles. The present family runs its heritage home. A 300-year-old ruined stepwell gives you insight into an age old system of conserving water. Walk with your host around the village to various temples, residential areas, community areas, and the general market. Day 9 Tordi/Jaipur (1B) Opt for an early morning walk up the hillock to see the sunrise over the dunes before driving to Jaipur. Explore the 'Pink City' and opt to visit the Jantar Mantar, or Royal Observatory, or watch a Bollywood film at the famous Raj Mandir cinema. Day 10 Jaipur (1B) Head out to visit the ruined city of Amber, the former capital of Jaipur state. Take a photo of the Hawa Mahal palace complex, elaborate formal gardens, and a small lake. Included Activities: Amber Fort Guided Tour
