The Supreme Court yet again said, "No! We did NOT tell you to link sim cards to Aadhar!" Seems UIDAI mis-interpreted what they'd said.

So linking to Aadhar is still on indefinite hold.

Kerala government's Tourism Department is worried at the steady decline in number of tourists to the state--most migrate to the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu.

According to the government tourism director Mr. P.Bala Kiran, the main problems cited by tourists visiting the state, according to the New Indian Express newspaper, are: mounds of uncleared garbage, frequent strikes (called hartals) and poor condition of most roads. In recent months, campaigns have been stepped up especially in…

Hello,
I would like to go to Spiti, Lahaul and Kinnaur in may/june. Do you think it's really possible to travel in these areas, at this season, with public transports ? No problem to find homestays in the villages ?
According to this website (http://vargiskhan.com/log/lahaul-spiti-valley-road-status-2018/), the Rothang Pass and the road from Shimla to Kaza are now open ; another road, from Manali to Kaza, should be open the first week of may.
Thanks,
Henry

My wife and I want to travel India for 5-6 months consecutively, but because we are first travelling China (2-3 months), then Nepal (2 months), our options seem limited.

I would like a 6 month Multiple-entry Visa to India, but if I get that from my home country (Canada) before we leave for China, there will only be 1-2 months left on the Visa by the time we finally reach India because the time starts when the Visas are issued.

If I apply for an eVisa from Nepal, that too will only give me 2…

Hello,
I am wondering what other’s experience of applying for the e-tourist visa for India has been like. How organized is it? Any problems using the online system? How long is the processing time/turnaround time? How much in advance and how close to my departure date can I apply for one? And is it valid for only 60 days from date of entry? Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I want to volunteer at an animal
rehabilitation center in Kerala area. Any recommendations for a place that’s legit and does not offer animal rides or chains them up? I originally wanted to go to Wildlife SOS but Agra is a bit too far out from Kerala. Thank you!

Hello all,
I’ll be traveling alone in the Kerala area for about 2.5 weeks for the first 2.5 weeks of September 2018. I’m looking for a quiet and beautiful beach homebase where I can make daytrips to the backwaters. I’ve read about Kovalam and Varkala beaches. Thoughts? I prefer an area with as few tourists as possible and I’ve read that Alleppey is beautiful but popular. Any suggestions on particular areas where beach and backwaters are close in proximity? Lodging recommendations are highly…

I was going to do the aforementioned trip but realize that quite a few other people have the same idea . As I do not enjoy being in mass tourist packs , even though with the freedom a bike gives , i am looking for any other ideas for a similar trip . Id have to rent the bike in Manali or perhaps there are other places to get ones hands on an Enfield near the Himalayas ? Thanks for any ideas . In SL of now and theres more tourists here than locals .
