On this half day culture rich tour, we will explore the best of Bangalore, listening to its stories, visiting the 18th century monuments, exploring the temples and ending with a visit to the summer palace. A perfect crash course for a traveler who doesn't have the luxury of time to spend in the city, but where we ensure you take back a whole lot of memories while you are at it.
You will be picked up from your hotel in the city at your selected departure time. We will begin the tour on a short walk inside of Bangalore's green lung space the Cubbon Park. Set up by the British as a central location to old and expanding Bangalore, it is a 300 acre park which houses some of the most important monuments built by the British. This is where we explore the High Court (from the outside) built in colonial European style architecture and hear of the stories behind it.Next, we walk towards the Vidhana Soudha - a magnificent structure built in South Indian style to reflect the seat of democracy after India's Independence which also serves as the State's Parliament house. Afterwards, visit the remains of the Summer Palace of the kings where we relive the glory days of the past, listening to the stories of the rise and fall of the empire. This was also the palace in which the British administered for sometime built by the Kings Tippu Sultan and Hyder Ali.The tour is not complete without seeking blessings at the bull temple in a traditional area in Old Bangalore; a monolithic 15ft statue of the bull which wouldn’t stop growing in size! You will be dropped back off to your hotel at the end of your tour.
