Itinerary

Day 1 Reykjavik Please make your own way to the joining hotel. There are no activities planned until an evening welcome meeting so feel free to explore the city. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting
Day 2 Reykjavik/Hveragerdi (1B) Explore the geological wonders that have shaped Iceland on the Golden Circle tour, including a walk in Thingvellir National Park and visits to the Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir Hot Springs. Included Activities: Thingvellir National Park Visit Gullfoss Waterfall Visit Geysir Visit Transport: Private Vehicle (7.00-8.00 hours)
Day 3 Hveragerdi/Núpar (1B, 1D) Visit the island’s south shore beginning with a walk behind Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. Stop at the black sand beaches then continue to Solheimajokull Glacier and view the infamous Eyjafjallajokull Volcano. Option to visit the Iceland Erupts exhibition. Day 4 Núpar/Fáskrúðsfjörður (1B) Take an ice walk on Falljokull Glacier, then visit the scenic Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon with the option to take a ride on a 'wheeled boat' for a closer look at the icebergs. Day 5 Fáskrúðsfjörður/Skútustaðahreppur (1B) Scenic drive around Iceland’s East Coast before heading inland to the northern lakeside village of Skútustaðahreppur in the Myvatn area. Visit the geothermal lake, Dimmuborgir Lava Fields and Krafla geothermal area. Option to visit the local geothermal pools. Day 8 Akureyri (1B) Free day to explore or choose from the many optional activities in the area.
