Autumn and winter have always been my favourite seasons if I’m being honest. As much as summer elicits notions of frolicking in the sun with friends, colourful fashion, ice cold drinks on the beach and catching some much needed vitamin D, there’s something about the latter half of the year that makes me feel a lot more comfortable; the cooler days, hot chocolate and stodgy food under the duvet, layering outfits and autumn/winter fashion!
Living with a disability all my life, as a crutches user initially and now a wheelchair user, I’ve come to grips with that universal vagueness around accessibility. I know that no matter how much I spend on accommodation or how much research I do before boarding a plane, I will face obstacles along the way. This isn’t necessarily pessimism but more a healthy dose of realism that wards off total devastation when things go wrong.
Iceland's landscape is one of the most evocative on the planet – mist shrouded cliff-sides, inky black beaches, ghostly blue glaciers. All of it creates an unrivaled sense of atmosphere, so it's only appropriate that your Iceland road trip has a soundtrack just as majestic.
