Day 1 (December, 29): Arrival day and Northern Lights tourArrive at Keflavík airport, and be transferred to your accommodation in Reykjavik. When you arrive at your hotel in Reykjavik a travel bag will be waiting for you with a printed itinerary, trip details, a map of Reykjavik and also an Icelandic phone that you can use during your stay in Reykjavik. In the evening you will go on a guided Northern Lights tour by bus.Accommodation in ReykjavikDay 2 (December, 30): Golden Circle inc. Gullfoss Waterfall and Geyser (B)Explore the Golden Circle with its three main stops: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, and the geothermal active valley of Haukadalur which contains the geysers Geysir and Strokkur. This is a smaller-group tour by minibus (max. 20 people).Accommodation in ReykjavikDay 3 (December, 31): Bonfires & New Year’s Eve (B)Enjoy a free morning in Reykjavik. In the evening you will go on a guided bonfire tour (pick up from your hotel included). The custom of having bonfires on New Year’s Eve in Iceland dates back to the 18th century and locals gather around several bonfires dotted all over the city, celebrating and singing. You will be back in the city center for the big firework show at midnight and one of the best (but also most popular places) is at the Hallgrims Church. After the fireworks show you can experience the world famous Reykjavik nightlife.Accommodation in ReykjavikDay 4 (January, 01): Free time in Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon Comfort Package (B)After last night's festivities you will have a free morning to yourself to sleep late and relax. We recommend taking a walk in central Reykjavik. In the afternoon/ evening you will visit the famous Blue Lagoon, a spa located in a black lava field. The warm waters are rich in minerals like silica and sulfur and bathing in the milky blue water makes your skin super-soft. You will get to enjoy the comfort package which includes use of a towel, a drink of your choice and a face mask. The transfer by bus from your accommodation to the blue lagoon and back is also included.Accommodation in ReykjavikDay 5 (January, 02): South Coast day trip with Waterfalls & Black Sand Beaches (B)Today you'll go on a guided bus tour to the south of Iceland. You will visit Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfall. In the afternoon your guide takes you to the beautiful black sand beach, Reynisfara. This beach features basalt columns that wall off the surrounding cliffs which are scattered with caves.Accommodation in ReykjavikDay 6 (January 03): Departure day (B)Sadly today your Iceland New Year’s Eve experience comes to an end. Transfer by bus back to Keflavik Airport to meet your departure flight.
