Visit the oldest swimming pool in Iceland, the geothermal, open-air Secret Lagoon. After soaking luxuriously in the warm water, enjoy a delicious buffet-style dinner where you can enjoy a variety of Icelandic foods. After dinner, we will then set out on a hunt for the Northern Lights. The guide and the driver will utilize their considerable experience and local knowledge to try and find the elusive Northern Lights.
The tour departs from Reykjavik at 6:00 PM in the evening, and the first stop will be at the Secret Lagoon in South Iceland. The Secret Lagoon is the oldest swimming pool in Iceland and has been recently renovated to include modern facilities, yet it has not lost any of its old Icelandic charm. Towels and bathing suits are available to rent (own expense) should you need them. Spend time relaxing, swimming and enjoying the thermal water of the Secret Lafoon. Once you have worked up an appetite, it's time to change back into dry clothes and head to a nearby country restaurant where we will enjoy a local buffet dinner. Sample a variety of delicious Icelandic foods in this charming restaurant. Finally, before returning to Reykjavik, the guide and driver will take you on a Northern Lights hunt in search of the elusive Aurora Borealis. The guides have access to local forecasts and if there is any possibility of seeing the Northern Lights on that day, then the guide will know the best spots to take you to. After your Northern Lights hunt concludes, the guide and driver will take you back to your hotel in Reykjavik, or to the centrally located bus terminal P
