ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productStop At: Kleifarvatn Lake, Reykjanes PeninsulaPick up at your hotel around 9.00 AM, or meet us at bus stop number 8, next to Hallgrímskirkja church, at 9.20 AM. We will start our journey by driving through a thrilling lava field on our way to the Reykjanes Peninsula.Kleifarvatn Lake: We will drive past Lake Kleifarvatn, which is formed solely by plate tectonics and rifting of the Earths crust from the Eurasian and North American plates.Seltún: Seltún is a beautifully coloured geothermal area. The geothermal activity brings bubbling mud pools and colorful solfataras right up to the surface. The beautiful colours are due to sulphur as well as white and yellowish brown sulphates that have been deposited.Duration: 2 hoursStop At: Bridge Between Continents, Reykjanes PeninsulaGunnuhver Hot Spring: One of the hottest places in Iceland. The temperature below the surface can amount to about 300° C. Gunnuhver, is named after a female ghost, named Gunna, that was laid there.Bridge Between Two Continents: The Bridge Between Continents is a small footbridge over a major fissure, which is formed by tectonics and rifting from two continental plates, the Eurasian and North American plates.Reykjanes Lighthouse and Cliffs: After passing the Reykjanesviti lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland, we well venture towards the sea where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, high cliffs and black rock formations.Duration: 2 hoursStop At: Blue Lagoon, Grindavik, Reykjanes PeninsulaBlue Lagoon: The day ends in the relaxing atmosphere in the Blue Lagoon.
