Tour description provided by Viator

Take a day trip out to the beautiful Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon, in a comfortable luxury vehicle. This is a long day, so prepare for a lot of driving,  but also some amazing sightseeing stops!
We will pick you up at your chosen pick up location in Reykjavik, at your desired time. Please make sure to call us no later than 2 days before your tour to finalize timings and location. We will head directly to the south coast, making a short stop en route to buy some snacks, if you haven't already. Our first sightseeing stop of the day is at Seljalandsfoss waterfall. It stems from creeks and glacier melt from the glaciers above, creating a thin arch down the cliff. There is a cavern behind it, so on dry days you can take a stroll to see the waterfall from the other side.Next up is a short photo stop at Skógafoss waterfall. This is a larger waterfall, stemming from the same source, and the start of the amazing trek over Fimmvörðuháls.Now it is time to strap securely in, and make quite a long drive east bound. It will take us about 3 hours to reach Jöulsárlón glacier lagoon. Once you are there, you will have about 30-40 minutes to enjoy the area, take breathtaking photos and fuel up on memories for life!On our way back towards Reykjavik, we might have time for a sightseeing stop at Reynisfjara beach. The black, coarse sand and pebbles, combined with the basalt stacks and the stunning horizon, make this an amazing stop to make. We will return you to Reykjavik, after a long day of sightseeing and travel along the south coast of Iceland.ATTN: one or more of the sightseeing stops en route might need to be skipped over the darkest winter months. We want to use the dusk and darkness to drive, so you can fully enjoy the Glacier lagoon in relatively good daylight.
