Day 2 Reykjavík/Akureyri (1B) Eyjafjörður is a scenic spot to enjoy the local wildlife and small villages in the area.
Opt to go on a whale-watching excursion. On the checkout page, opt to pre-book a single-day activity (select "Whale Watching from Dalvik") or an activity bundle (select "Whales and Glaciers Bundle") ahead of time, to include one of these optionals on your tour.
If you have pre-booked whale watching, you will be going on the excursion this evening.
Day 3 Akureyri/Borgarfjörður (1B) Head to Mývatn Lake, stopping en route at Goðafoss Waterfall. In Mývatn, explore lava formations of Dimmuborgir and the geothermal area of Námaskarð.
Visit Dettifoss Waterfall, one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe.
Reach Borgarfjörður in the East Fjords region for a night in a local guesthouse.

Day 4 Borgarfjörður/Hofn (1B) Leave beautiful Borgarfjörður behind and travel down the coast driving through the beautiful and majestic eastern fjords. En route to Hofn, catch a glimpse of Vatnajokull glacier, the largest ice cap in Europe.
Day 5 Hofn/Vik (1B) Marvel at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, with a chance to see seals sun bathing on the bright blue ice. The massive icebergs floating towards shore tower over visitors. Opt to check out the lagoon by boat. Stop by Diamond Beach, which gets its name from chunks of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier that float to shore. As these blocks of glacier ice melt, they develop a crystal clear sheen, set against the black sand of the beach.
Continue on to Skaftafell National Park with time to explore before continuing on in the evening to the small town of Vík.

Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Visit
Day 6 Vik/Reykjavík (1B) Visit Reynisfjara Beach. Continue along the Golden Circle to Drumbo. Stop at the waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Gullfoss. Explore the Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Hot Springs and Þingvellir National Park. Visit a G Adventures-supported sustainable community dedicated to helping people with disabilities. Arrive to Reykjavík in the early evening.

Days 7-9 of this itinerary are unescorted by a CEO, giving you the maximum time for activities and personal exploration.
Want to do more with your tour? Pre-book any of the following activities to experience during your free time in Reykjavík: Hot Spring Hiking Tour (full-day), Þórsmörk Valley Super Jeep and Hiking Tour (Full-day), Snorkelling in Þingvellir National Park (half-day), and Lava Caving by the Blue Mountains (half-day). Please note that only ONE full day activity can be booked per day.
Any optional activities listed on this day can also be booked upon arrival in Reykjavík.
Day 9 Reykjavík (1B) Board an included shuttle to the Blue Lagoon and arrive by 10:00am. After having enjoyed all that the Blue Lagoon has to offer, you can either return to Reykjavík or be dropped off at Keflavík International Airport (KEF) on the included shuttles. Timetables will be available on site.
Please note that your voucher to visit the Blue Lagoon will be at hotel reception. Unless otherwise specified, your included shuttle will depart at 8:30am from the bus stop outside Hotel Cabin, and your Blue Lagoon ticket is for 10:00am.
We advise to only book onward travel after 3:30pm.
