In the cellars beneath the basilica you'll find some of Esztergom's most creative takes on Hungarian cuisine. We love the gooseberry soup with chicken and the savoury beef shank in a mustard and dark-beer emulsion. But the best thing here are the wines, carefully sourced from small wineries from around the country, many available by the glass.
