Flights & getting there

In general, cities to the north and northwest are best served by train. For points south, use the bus or a transfer combination. The bus station is to the west, and the train station to the south.

Air

Debrecen International Airport is 5km south of Debrecen, from where Wizz Air and Lufthansa fly to half-a-dozen cities, including London, Munich, Paris and Tel Aviv.

Trains also leave from Debrecen for Satu Mare, Romania (three hours, 106km) at 9.11am and 3.11pm. Transfer in Záhony to get to Csap (Čop; 120km) in Ukraine.
