For authentic Hungarian home cooking, Eat & Meet lives up to the label. Zsuzska (Suzie) Goldbach and her family open their apartment on the Danube to guests with a three-course meal made from local, seasonal ingredients and paired with Hungarian wines, kicking off with their own aged pálinka as an aperitif. Dinners are available daily but must be booked in advance.
The hosts are passionate about Hungarian food and wine. Dinners are a three-course set menu, although guests with dietary needs and allergies can inform the hosts to amend the menu accordingly. Zsuzska uses Hungarian ingredients exclusively and will explain the traditions to visitors. Seconds are encouraged should you still feel hungry. The family also hosts dinners in their country house in summer.
