Internet Access

Most accommodation in the city offers wi-fi access. In theory, the Praça dos Heróis Nacionais has its own free network, but it's often out of service. Some other spots to get online:

Hotel KallisteThe terrace has wi-fi.

Lenox This sports cafe/performance space has a small cybercafe inside. It's located where the road to the airport meets Bairro Ajudda.


A few banks have ATMs that accept international Visa and MasterCard, including one immediately outside the airport terminal; several upmarket hotels also have ATMs.

Tourist Information

Institute for Biodiversity and Protected Areas Established by the Bissau-Guinean government in 2005, IBAP is charged with managing, protecting and conserving the country's biodiversity and natural ecosystems. Contact for information on visiting any of the country's national parks.
