Run by a knowledgeable Swiss-Guinean couple, this is Bissau's best, nay only, backpackers' stop. Housed in an attractive colonial-style villa in the centre of town, it's a ramshackle affair. Groups can bed down in rooms with two or three single beds and shared bathroom. The cell-like atmosphere and fan-only rooms will at least motivate you to explore the city.
Often booked out for long-term rentals by NGO workers.
