ItineraryDay 1: Day 1Stop At: KythnosDepart from Piraeus port at 07:00 and sail for Kythnos. Arrive on Kythnos at 10:00. After check in at your hotel in Merichas (the port of Kythnos), you will start your tour on the island. In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner with your tour leader and your fellow travel companions, having a first taste of the local cuisine and discussing your program of the coming days.Duration: 3 hoursMeals included: • DinnerAccommodation included: Overnight in a family traditional guest houseDay 2: Day 2Stop At: Katafyki Cave, Kithnos, Cyclades, South AegeanEnjoy a good breakfast today, as you will explore the best of Central and Southeast part of the island! You will be transferred to the well known coastal village of Kanala that took its name after the monastery of Panagia Kanala, dedicated to Virgin Mary. The monastery hosts the miraculous icon of Our Lady which, according to tradition, was found by fishermen floating in the narrow channel between Kythnos and Serifos and is said to have healing powers. Our next and last stop of today’s tour is Dryopida village. Dryopida is a mountainous village located on the central part of the island. The traditional settlement has a captivating atmosphere with whitewashed houses, old churches, and two-storey houses with red tiled roofs among a maze of labyrinthine alleys. You will visit the Byzantine Museum and the cave of Katafyki. There is also another surprise waiting for you! Get ready to explore Katafiki cave, one of the largest caves in Greece. You will visit the Loutra bay, the north port. Loutra is well known for the thermal springs and for the hydrotherapy center. After you will return back to Merichas where you will visit the traditional farmer’s house which built at the begging of the previous century and you will taste the fruits from ,the one of oldest families of the island, farm. After you can enjoy your lunch in one of the seaside restaurants, before the ferry back to Athens or the other islands.
