Getting Around

Sea taxis leave from the Parikia quay for beaches around Paros and to Antiparos. Tickets range from €8 to €15 and are available on board.

Parikia is the island's bus hub, and frequent buses link Parikia and Naoussa. It's also easy to reach popular destinations such as the Golden Beach, Prodromos, Marmara from both towns. Buses also link Parikia to Pounta (for the Antiparos ferry) and the airport.

Tickets can be purchased from machines at the bus terminals, and at kiosks and minimarkets island-wide, or from the driver at a slightly higher rate.

Car & Motorcycle

There are numerous rental outlets along the waterfront in Parikia, Naoussa and all around the island. In peak season the minimum cost is about €45 per day for car hire, €30 for a quad and €20 for a scooter. A good outfit is Acropolis.

Taxis gather beside the roundabout in Parikia. Fares include €20 to the airport, €15 to Naoussa, €13 to Pounta, €15 to Lefkes and €24 to Piso Livadi. Add €1 if going from the port. There are extra charges for booking ahead, and for luggage.
