On the southeast coast is Paros’ top beach, Hrysi Akti (Golden Beach), with good swimming, windsurfing and diving operations.
Paros’ west coast, around Pounta, is the hub for top water sports activities: a long shallow-water shoreline and perfect sideshore wind conditions make it perfect for all skill levels of kiteboarder or windsurfer.
Paros is also moderately popular with hikers.
There are a number of old footpaths used as hiking tracks, such as Dryos to Lefkes, Dryos to Golden Beach and Pounta to Aliki, though they are not terribly well-maintained. See www.parosweb.com/guide for more information. The only official trail is the Byzantine path from Lefkes to Prodromos to Marpissa, over 1000 years old and taking just over an hour to hike. In places, the path is paved with marble as it heads out west from Lefkes in the mountains.
Terrain (http://terrainmaps.gr) has an excellent Paros/Antiparos map that covers both islands, including walking tracks.
