Several smaller airports serve the region, most with domestic flights:

Preveza Airport Also called Aktion.

Buses connect northern Greece with its neighbouring countries. There are regular routes to Turkey, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania and Serbia.

Igoumenitsa has ferries to and from Italy.

International trains run from Thessaloniki. At research time, the only services were to Sofia, Bulgaria (with a portion to the Bulgarian border on a bus) and Skopje, Macedonia.
