Boat

Kythira’s ferry port is at sleepy little Diakofti, halfway up the east coast. Buy tickets at the port just before departure, or via Kithira Travel.

Boats from Neapoli in the Peloponnese come to Diakofti twice daily in summer, and once daily otherwise; two each week continue to Antikythira.

LANE Lines (www.lane-kithira.com) operates an intricate, seasonally changing schedule of ferries that connect Diakofti with Piraeus, Antikythira, Kissamos (Kastelli; Crete) and Gythio (Peloponnese); in summer there are usually two weekly services to and from each of those destinations.
