Kea's northern half is more popular with visitors than the southern half.

The beach road from Korissia leads past the appealing Gialiskari Beach for 2.5km to tiny Vourkari, a favourite with yachties, where the waterfront is lined with sailboats and fashionable cafes.

Four kilometres to the northeast, Otzias has a large, sandy beach, though it does get rather windy. From Otzias, a 12km road runs inland to Ioulida, connected to the east coast's finest beach, Spathi.

Eight kilometres southwest of Ioulida is the unfortunately named Pisses (also spelled Poisses), a small, sandy beach with a taverna and beach bar, backed by orchards, olive groves and rugged hills. Four kilometres south along the coast is Kondouros, a playground for moneyed Athenians, with a number of small sandy coves. A little further south, Kambi is an inviting swimming spot with a waterfront taverna.
