Air

Aegean/Olympic and Sky Express serve Athens. The airport is 4km west of town. Don't plan a tight itinerary, as fog commonly causes delays or cancellations.

Domestic

Ioannina's bus station serves Arta (€7, two hours, six daily on weekdays, four on weekends), Athens (€42.50, 5–6½ hours, seven daily, including two express), Igoumenitsa (€10.60, 1½ hours, six daily), Konitsa (€6.20, 1¼ hours, six daily on weekdays, three on weekends), Preveza (€10.40, two hours, six daily on weekdays, four on weekends), Thessaloniki (€30.50, 3½ hours, six daily). Direct service to Metsovo is limited (€5.80, 1½ hours, two daily on weekdays, once in the afternoon on weekends), but other intercity buses can drop you on the highway below the village. Zagorohoria service is very limited (one bus weekly in some cases) and changes by season.

International

Buses from Ioannina serve the Albanian border post at Kakavia (€6.10, 1¼ hour, seven daily).
