Flights & getting there
Florina bus station serves Athens (€51, 10 hours, one daily) and Thessaloniki (€17, 3¼ hours). Two serve Thessaloniki direct via the Egnatia Odos Hwy, the others go through Edessa (€8, 1½ hours, three daily).
For Prespa, buses leave on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7am and 3pm, returning at 8.30am and 4.30pm (€5.70, one hour). Tell the driver your destination when you board, as they may skip some villages. For Kastoria, head to Amyntaio (€4.10, 35 minutes, eight daily) and change buses there. Amyntaio has buses for Kastoria at 7.45am on Monday and 4pm on Friday and Sunday (€9, 1½ hours). Four buses per week also reach Ioannina (€21, two hours); alternatively, take a bus to Kozani and change there.
Florina taxis will drive to the Prespa Lakes villages; Agios Germanos costs around €70, Psarades €90.
Florina’s train station connects with Edessa (€7, 1¼ hours, three daily) and Thessaloniki (€10, 2¾ hours, three daily).
