I will be in Athens between 25-29 of May, 2018 and already I made a booking for rent a car. But today I read the following article printed in 14th of May 2018, stating that tourists from non-European Union countries are now only allowed to rent a car or a motorcycle in Greece if they have an international driving license, in addition to their national permit from their home country, according to new regulations:

Delivered car to station after contact with the station, however no one was present. After multiple calls, which remained unanswered, one call was answered. The person told me to leave the car outside of the office and to drop the keys in the letterbox and they would pick up the car later that evening. We could not sign off any of the paperwork.
As far as I know, I did not have any damage. However to my surprise, I found a 200 euro fine on my creditcard, without any message from the company…

Hey there ! :)

I’m flying into Athens August 2nd and have 21 days to explore Greece and Turkey. My first objective was to get to know Greece but Turkey always was (such as Greece) a country that I wished to get to know and was passionate about, so staying 21 days, I thought it would be a good occasion to visit both countries (even if I know that 21 days is a very limited time to visit everything I’d love to get to know in both countries!).
I don’t have a passport - but I checked online and saw…

Hi- my husband and I are traveling to Greece in July. Our itinerary is- Athens - Crete - Karpathos-Athens. We have flights booked for most parts of the trip, but planned to take the shortish ferry ride from Sitia, Crete to Karpathos rather than flying that leg of the journey. I know the ferry doesn't run every day, which is fine because we are somewhat flexible about the date of travel, but I can't book the ferry at all because the schedule is still not published. I can't really book hotels…

Hi everyone!

We're spending 4 nights in Naxos as part of our Greek honeymoon, from September 16-20. Trying ti figure out the best way to visit the villages - interested in Sangri, Chalki, Filoti, Apeiranthos, Koronos and also Apollonas but would like to only spend a day doing this. I know, I know, very ambitious...haha! But hoping you guys can steer us right in which we need to drop if we need to and how best to do it!

  1. Open to renting a car, which I'm sure would give us the most…

Hi all just want to ask I am going to be transiting between Bodrum, Kos and Rhodes with ferries between these places should I pre-book and pre-pay for the tickets in late Sept or can you just turn up on the day and pay cash ?

I realise its quite a while away just keen for some info.

Are there any recommended sites to use for pre-booking if I do this ?

thanks,

Hi
I and my wife would like to stay at a cosy relaxing sea port in Greece in July. Some of the places we have stayed at and liked are Corfu and Sivoa. So we are interested in both islands and the mainland.

We want nice and quiet and taverns close to the harour/beach. What can you recommend for a week of relaxation, sun and good food.

Hi, I'm travelling with my husband to Sougia in May and will be taking a taxi from Chania to Sougia when we arrive at 6:30am. We might also be taking a taxi from Chania to Sougia. And, as we won't be hiring a car we will probably use taxi for trips to Samira Gorge and other places. Please get in touch if sharing a taxi is of interest.

Hi

So I'm trying to plan a holiday to Greece in early July, however we have 3 25-30 year olds and 2 50 year olds thus I want to avoid hopping to many islands (especially since one of us suffers from vertigo/gets sea sick quickly) and most itinerary's suggest island hopping on ferries.

Does anyone have any good suggestions?
I'm planning to fly in to Athens from London
So far i have gathered that I will spend 3-4 days in Athens and my plan is as follows:
