Amorgos

Hi fellow travelers,

Anyone been to Amorgos recently? We're going to Athens end of July and want a few days to relax and unwind.
What's the best way to get there from Athens?

Many thanks!!

Hello!

I'm planning a trip with my boyfriend and we are considering buying two Interrail greek islands passes to do some island hopping. I was wondering whether people think they are worth the money, and what people's experiences have been with them in general. Any other information would be helpful e.g. how to book ferry tickets with the passes.

Thanks :)

Hi guys
I am currently in Athens and planning on a roughly 3 week drive along the Peloponesse and a portion further North. I am renting a car out of and returning at the airport and need to determine the duration of the rental so I can book soon.

I am interested in "the usual" - hiking and outdoors, sites/ruins, small towns, I really like driving to small mountain towns and doing day hikes in the area. Not huge into laying on the beach and very much prefer the more remote and smaller towns…

Hello. I plan on booking a roundtrip ferry ticket from Santorini to Milos in September, with the return trip arriving the same day I fly out. The ferry would arrive within three hours of my flight to London. I'm concerned that I might be cutting it a little too close in the event the ferry is cancelled. So, my question is, how likely is it that the ferry would be cancelled in September for this route (Milos > Folegandros > Thira)? It's a SeaJet ferry if that makes any difference.

The…

I will be in Athens between 25-29 of May, 2018 and already I made a booking for rent a car. But today I read the following article printed in 14th of May 2018, stating that tourists from non-European Union countries are now only allowed to rent a car or a motorcycle in Greece if they have an international driving license, in addition to their national permit from their home country, according to new regulations:

Delivered car to station after contact with the station, however no one was present. After multiple calls, which remained unanswered, one call was answered. The person told me to leave the car outside of the office and to drop the keys in the letterbox and they would pick up the car later that evening. We could not sign off any of the paperwork.
As far as I know, I did not have any damage. However to my surprise, I found a 200 euro fine on my creditcard, without any message from the company…

Hey there ! :)

I’m flying into Athens August 2nd and have 21 days to explore Greece and Turkey. My first objective was to get to know Greece but Turkey always was (such as Greece) a country that I wished to get to know and was passionate about, so staying 21 days, I thought it would be a good occasion to visit both countries (even if I know that 21 days is a very limited time to visit everything I’d love to get to know in both countries!).
I don’t have a passport - but I checked online and saw…

Hi- my husband and I are traveling to Greece in July. Our itinerary is- Athens - Crete - Karpathos-Athens. We have flights booked for most parts of the trip, but planned to take the shortish ferry ride from Sitia, Crete to Karpathos rather than flying that leg of the journey. I know the ferry doesn't run every day, which is fine because we are somewhat flexible about the date of travel, but I can't book the ferry at all because the schedule is still not published. I can't really book hotels…

Hi everyone!

We're spending 4 nights in Naxos as part of our Greek honeymoon, from September 16-20. Trying ti figure out the best way to visit the villages - interested in Sangri, Chalki, Filoti, Apeiranthos, Koronos and also Apollonas but would like to only spend a day doing this. I know, I know, very ambitious...haha! But hoping you guys can steer us right in which we need to drop if we need to and how best to do it!

  1. Open to renting a car, which I'm sure would give us the most…
