Getting There & Away

Metro Kerameikos station (blue line) pops up in the centre of the Gazi neighbourhood. For the Kerameikos archaeological site, Thisio station (green line) is a hair closer and doesn't require crossing busy Pireos St. For Metaxourgio, better a slightly longer walk from Omonia (or hop a bus), staying on Pireos St, than from the Metaxourghio station, as the route to Plateia Avdi passes through several blocks of brothels.

Taxi Taxis wait in central Gazi, or you can call one with an app (Beat or Taxiplon). Night rates ('2' on the metre, 60% higher) kick in after midnight.
